Citrine ritual to attract prosperity to your finances

Citrine, a golden-yellow quartz, is traditionally known as “the merchant's stone”: many people keep it in the till, in their wallet or on their desk as a reminder that prosperity is built through consistency. In this ritual you charge it with a specific financial goal and turn it into a daily reminder of your good decisions with money.

In short: Citrine, a golden-yellow quartz, is traditionally known as “the merchant's stone”: many people keep it in the till, in their wallet or on their desk as a reminder that prosperity is built through consistency. You need 5 simple items and 5 steps. When: During a waxing moon, on a Thursday or a Sunday, days linked to Jupiter and the Sun.

When to do it

During a waxing moon, on a Thursday or a Sunday, days linked to Jupiter and the Sun. Also when you receive income, open a business or start a savings plan.

What you need

  • A small citrine stone (walnut-sized or smaller)
  • A small green candle in a stable holder
  • A small plate
  • Paper and a pen
  • A candle snuffer or a teaspoon

Step by step

  1. Place the candle in its holder on a heat-proof surface, away from curtains and papers, and light it. Put the citrine on the plate in front of the candle.
  2. Write down one specific, realistic money goal with a date. For example: “Save 300 € before March” or “Win two new clients this month.”
  3. Below it, note three actions that bring you closer to that goal: an expense you will review, a possible extra income or a skill you will offer.
  4. Hold the citrine in your hands, read your goal aloud and say: “Prosperity grows with every good decision I make.”
  5. Fold the paper, place it under the plate with the citrine on top and put out the candle with the snuffer rather than blowing it out.

Safety first

Never leave a lit candle unattended. Place it in a stable, heat-resistant holder away from curtains, paper, children and pets, and put it out with a snuffer.

These rituals are symbolic. Do not ingest herbs or oils, ventilate the room when burning incense or herbs, and never perform a ritual to harm or control anyone.

To finish

From the next day on, carry the citrine in your wallet or keep it in your workspace; each time you see it, check one of your three actions. Keep the stone out of reach of small children and pets, as they could swallow it. To put your accounts in order, pair it with the star anise ritual.
