Thread ritual to strengthen a friendship
Friendships need care too. This gratitude ritual strengthens your bonds with the people you love and helps you open up to new, sincere friendships.
In short: Friendships need care too. You need 3 simple items and 5 steps. When: At the full moon, when we celebrate what we already have, or on a friend's birthday.
When to do it
At the full moon, when we celebrate what we already have, or on a friend's birthday.
What you need
- A cotton thread about 30 cm long (yellow or any colour you like)
- A photo or object that reminds you of the friendship
- Paper and a pen
Step by step
- Place the photo or object in front of you and think about the good times you have shared.
- Write a short thank-you letter to that person (you don't need to send it).
- Take the thread and tie three gentle knots while saying: "For trust, for joy, for support."
- Wrap the thread around the folded letter and keep it next to the photo.
- If you feel like it, send that person a warm message or suggest meeting up.
Safety first
These rituals are symbolic and meant for entertainment. Do not ingest herbs or oils, ventilate the room when burning incense or herbs, and never perform a ritual to harm or control anyone.
To finish
The real ritual is the gesture: a call, a coffee or attentive listening strengthens a bond more than any thread.
